Mission:
Spirit of Life Community Bike Shop is a Christian Ministry for empowering all people living on the Fort Peck Reservation, using the bicycle/tricycle as a tool to foster positive life skills, a healthy lifestyle, and a sense of fun and adventure.
Vision:
The vision of Spirit of Life Community Bike Shop is to be a community leader serving youth, families and elders through its programs which promote health, fitness, and personal empowerment – one bike or trike – at a time.
Purpose:
The Spirit of Life Community Bike Shop is dedicated to giving everyone on the Fort Peck Reservation the opportunity to use a bicycle/tricycle as a vehicle for lessons in confidence building, achievement, health, fitness and environmental awareness through the development of practical skills and the simple act of having fun. We are dedicated to giving underserved, especially at-risk youth and elders the opportunity to experience and learn about the natural beauty of our reservation from the seat of a bike or a trike. As followers of Jesus we strive to give everyone the chance to see a different side of the reservation, to expand their understanding of what they can achieve, and to make personal connections with the natural world.
We are an organization of cyclists, educators, and community leaders who believe we can make an unquestionable difference in peoples’ lives by opening their minds to new possibilities and arming them with greater self-awareness and confidence.
Spirit of Life Ministries is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Wolf Point, Montana. Founded in 2014, our mission is serve the people of the Fort Peck Reservation .
